Brussels is often seen seen as a foreign, complicated, hyperactive machine. In fact, everyday 55,000 civil servants make rules called directives, Stacking all these European rules would make a tower as high as the tower of Pisa. All these rules designed to harmonize laws across the EU ruffle the local traditions and result in a myriad of rumours of what the Eurocrats want to regulate. The Euroballs take a closer look - are brezels and chocolate spreads really about to be banned?
